Giving Thanks

This year, Dan and I hosted our first Thanksgiving in our new home.  It was a beautiful holiday shared with our families and followed by the first snowfall of the season! I wanted to share a few pictures from the big day. I didn't post any recipes today, but please leave a comment if you see something especially tasty that you’d like to try!

This is the second of our two turkeys, stuffed with apple, garlic, jalapeño, and sage and glazed in apple cider and butter. It is the same recipe as last year and was just as delicious!

My Thanksgiving plate included sausage cornbread stuffing, herb stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, turkey , cranberries, roasted Brussels sprouts, and sweet potatoes. When I returned for seconds, I had German potato salad and fresh green bean casserole too!

My sister snapped this photo of Dan and I just after we sat down to dinner. We got a new dining room table and it was perfect for the occasion. I can't wait for all of the holiday dinners to come!

Finally, I am so thankful for my sister Stacy and everyone who helped bring together our dinner and desserts. The whole day was amazing and I am so lucky to have shared it with our families!

We also made a cornucopia of dessert, but I was too busy eating to photograph it! We enjoyed apple, pumpkin, and pecan pies, a pumpkin roll, and homemade vanilla and cinnamon ice creams. Yum, yum, and yum!

How did you spend Thanksgiving? I hope it was wonderful and you're excited for the holiday season!

  3. I have been searching over the internet for a long time and I think that this was the best recipe for the cookies that I came across. Hope that it works well with me.
